The Crimson distributed the survey by email to 1,542 members of the Class of 2019. Participants accessed the survey form via anonymous, individualized links from May 1 until May 18, 2019, when the survey closed. During that period, The Crimson collected 717 completed surveys, representing a response rate of 47 percent.

Results reported in this article are adjusted by ethnicity and gender to account for non-response bias. The adjustments are based on publicly available matriculation data for the senior class.

The overall margin of error is plus or minus 2.68 percent with 95 percent confidence. Sampling errors for subgroups may vary.
